It would be interesting if you could find something to connect the two. Both text have an eerie-ness about them and maybe the knowledge-memory didactic plays a role in Alice's world too. I'm excited to see where this goes!Torihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14145950875496552661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2854424785114020340.post-33048595037426852622014-03-05T13:56:22.012-07:002014-03-05T13:56:22.012-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Torihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14145950875496552661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2854424785114020340.post-46722607979160136822014-03-05T13:37:14.202-07:002014-03-05T13:37:14.202-07:00Dracula is one of my favorite books, and I'm s...Dracula is one of my favorite books, and I'm so glad you chose it! I had a similar reaction to it when I read it on my own (my aunt had suggested it). It was slow in the beginning, but something would happen that would make you have to read more. He was the original vampire, and so much more interesting to me than the modern representations of the creature. However, I never studied Dracula in school, so I was interested in your insights about religious symbolism. Perhaps Carroll's character, Alice, is a type of religious symbol.Sophiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12333180424215967945noreply@blogger.com
